What is FKM? The Science Behind Our High-Performance Hybrid Bands

Most consumer sports bands are manufactured from cheap, basic silicone or low-grade rubber. While they are soft at first, they quickly expose their flaws: they stretch out of shape, become sticky, trap lint and dust, and tear easily under high physical pressure.
For our AERON Atmos Hybrid series, we refused to compromise. That is why we utilized aerospace-grade FKM (Fluororubber) for the foundational core of our hybrid design.
What Exactly is FKM?
FKM is a high-density, synthetic rubber compound originally developed for the extreme environments of aerospace, automotive, and industrial engineering. It is designed to withstand heavy chemical exposure, high friction, and intense mechanical stress without changing its molecular shape or physical integrity.
The Ultimate Active Comfort
Unlike cheap silicone, FKM is significantly denser and heavier in quality, yet incredibly supple and flexible on the wrist. It natural repels dust, lint, and skin oils, maintaining its clean, premium matte finish permanently. Its micro-texture allows your skin to breathe during heavy cardio workouts, completely eliminating that sticky, trapped-moisture irritation.
An Indestructible Hybrid Core
By combining an FKM base with precision-machined Grade 2 Titanium hardware, the Atmos Hybrid achieves the ultimate product paradox. It offers the structural armor of an executive luxury band with the flexible, weightless agility of a premium sports strap. Gym floor to corporate boardroom — engineered without limitations.
